just had a practice with my TH vox and xinyao pple for some combined song for 2nites comm close dinner... it was so good to see all of them so happy singg... i suddenly remember how i made my speech as a JCRC member, saying that i want to make sure the pple performing are happy.. and form dance and even VOX, i think we have given pple a chance to try somethg they wun be able to do for free perhaps out of hall... n havg started lots of new concept... TH chillout, outdoor concert wif beer... xinyao n vox external concert at munchie monkeys that as full hse... dinner time performances for the freshies to have more chances to perform.. I think as a JCRC, the hall expects alot of stuff which i do not agree to, like expectg us to attend all hall events, other halls' events, IHG games and stuff... so perhaps, i think i dun satisfy those criteria well, n i dun really feel the need to... but hopefully i had really brightened the cultural scene in TH...
Another thing that bothers me is that there is this thing called the masters list... so sportsmen that are outstanding can really just bum around for the whole year except play that one sport... then they still can get hall stay the next year... for cultural pple, even if ya r outstandg... if ya do not have enough points, you not onli have to sacrifice your holidays to do hall suff like orientation, you will only be on the so called waiting list.. meaning you might not even get a room in the end...
I guess for me, next year shld be the last for hall stay, cuz i think i really just wanna spend time doing other stuff... n hope the next cultural director can make some changes to the master's list... if not, culture in temasek will always be just a dispensable asset which will never overtake the other halls...
